Not every week is a good one and this was one of those where I was not happy with what I was doing from the very beginning. As a result, at 8:00 Saturday morning I deleted everything I had done this week and decided I would have to do something else. 24 hours until our publication deadline, mind you.
Second thoughts don’t hit often but when they do I’m suddenly impossible to please and hate everything in my archives. This is one of the many reasons I don’t like throwing anything away. Going back through pictures as much as ten years old, I decided there were some that were treated unfairly the first time around, or that the original method of processing is not applicable to where I am now as a photographer. So, I chose 15 images and did them over, completely different from their original presentation.
I don’t want to be the only one thinking, though, so I added to the workload by making them into memes that can’t be posted anywhere but here because they’re all nude, a fact that quite stupidly violates the terms of service for every major social media site accept Reddit, which is its own monster. What this means is that if you only look at the thumbnails you’re missing the point and I’m going to judge you harshly for being so incredibly shallow. Click on the photos below and view the images full-size.
Maybe I’ll go back to what I had planned for this week and post it next week. Maybe I won’t. Second thoughts are rarely settling, but at least they make us think and we all need as much practice in that area as we can get.
