A sudden rush of emotion. Happy. Sad. Excited. Frightened. Elation. Worry.

From there, every experience is unique. The days pass. The baby grows.

There is a special beauty to a mother with child, a beauty some describe as a “glow.” I think it’s more than that. I am convinced that the very essence of the child, its happiness, its dreams, its hope, is manifest in its mother in the days before the child is born.
